| Title | Let's Hear It For The Boy/We Are Family reviewed on 12/24/98 |
| Artist | Glamma feat. Donna James |
| Label | 1998 Branded/Rumour Records (England) |
| Style | Disco/House |

| Review | I know, again a long time since I did review some singles, so let me do some catch up. First let's look at some DANCE releases. The first in lane is November releases from excellent UK dance label BRANDED. This time it is single featuring two tracks originally released back in 1984 and 1979. You might remember that the original "Let's Hear It For The Boy" was perfomed by Dennice Williams and reached number 2 in May of 1984. New interpretation by GLAMMA is powerhouse, slamming DISCO track with great PROGRESSIVE synths. Two versions are featured in the single. I sampled the Klub version that is definately a dancefloor filler. A second track featured in this single has been originally sang by SistersSledge and actually was considered a disco anthem at it's time. Again, GLAMMA made this track refreshing and bringing old memories back. Very cheerful with great production by one and only John Springate. All together this single should be in your collection if you like good Hi-NRG dance tracks.1. Let's Hear It For The Boy - Radio Version 2. We Are family - Radio Version 3. Let's Hear It For The Boy - Klub Mix 4. We Are Family - Club Mix |

| Review | I am sure if you follow groups like BAD BOYS BLUE or HADDAWAY, the Coconut Records should not be strange label for you. Presented single is released by yet another project from this label. Featured songs are mixed and produced by Andy Matern who currently produces BAD BOYS BLUE as well. There are two megamixes: one in Radio Edit and one in Extended Version. Both feature songs mostly written by duo T.Hendrik and K. van Harren names that are close to all of BAD BOYS BLUE fans. Additional tracks were also written by J.Barry, E. Greenwich and H. Valvarade. All featured songs I am sure are familiar to you. Great DISCO tracks sang by three great looking girls bring the 80's feeling back to memories. Great production, refreshing sound, good RAP (yeah!) and mixing technique. You will have fun to listen to it and morever dance into it. Might be late, but try to get it for your New Year Eve party. Guaranteed fun!!! I featured in sound sampler almost entire Edit version, to show you all tracks as well as great mixing. Enjoy! 1. | Review | Let's remain for a moment in Swedish releases. I previously reviewed Richi M releases. Here in the single section you was able to listen to his single "One Life to Live", or if you visited ALBUM REVIEWS you could listen to sound samplers from his debut album" "Perfect World" I have reviewed back in September of 1998. I have no doubts that Richi M is now one of the best artists in EUROPROGRESSIVE-TECHNO genre. Unfortunately not as much known as his German counterparts but is getting his own recognition. Based also on your E-mails, I know how much you enjoy his music. "12th Planet" is his newest single that appeared previously on his album. I liked that song very much and was happy to see that single with four different versions was released. In sound sampler I mixed two versions Radio Version and Reclaimed de Underground Acieed Mix. The first one and its Extended Versions represents great Europgressive genre with synths to die for. Slamming Club filler at it's best. The second version is ACIDidifed PROGRESSIVE. Also interesting one. To really appreciate the release you should try to get single. I am looking forward to more of Richi M releases. Seems to be he has been invited by many other artists to remix their releases. So he became quite like SASH! or DJ Quicksilver as they are also in demand. Way to go! 1. 12th Planet - Radio Version - 3:55 2. 12th Planet - Whoop Remix - 7:29 3. 12th Planet - Reclam de Underground Acieed Mix - 5:40 4. 12th Planet - Extended Version - 7:50 |

| Review | DJ Visage has been a very successful project managed by Norbert Reichart that is also involved with project IMPERIO. "Geil!" is third single by DJ Visage already storming dance floor of European dance floors and beyond. The single features seven versions and fans of groups like ABSOLOM or FIOCCO will be pleased that Jan Vervoloet and Christophe Chantzis did remixes of this track. Sound sampler features two versions: ABSOLOM Club Mix and EXTENDED Version that I mixed together. If you like Eurogressive style you should like the single as well. Several mixes warrants that you should find one that will fit your needs. For more info about this group, please refer to my DJ Visage Page 1. Geil! - Video Version - 3:49 2. | Artist | White Widow |
| Label | 1998 Mid-Town (Belgium) |
| Style | Techno-Trance |
| Review | Let's move to Benelux scene for two following releases. Three countries that are part of Benelux (Belgium, Luxemburg and Holland) itself were European pioneers of TECHNO sound and not only remain in that mainstream but in fact start to dominate in terms of quality of releases. Groups lie Absolom, Fiocco, 2 Fabiola, Praga Khan does not need a recoomendations. If you serious about the genre these names not only sounds familiar but stands for solid releases. New coming group to this "Dutch Techno Establishment" is White Widow. This Belgian involves A. D'Hondt, K. Burton and W. Perdoen. "Spy" is their follow-up single to another song called "Leave". This new song is stunningly dance TECHNO-TRANCE release with absolutely beatiful strings and synths. Female vocals adds to the drama. I have chosen two versions for the mix from this single: Single Mix and Sherlock Mix. Hopefully it will help you to appreciate this great release. As far as I know this single was released as vinyl. I will be looking forward for more releases from this group and based on what they already did, I have high expectations! |

| Review | After about one month since I did my last review let's do some work and review some stuff I recently got. I have been accused for not paying too much attention to PROGRESSIVE stuff, so I thought that I should try to start from several good releases in this genre. I was very happy to find a new release from one of the better group playing PROGRESSIVE-HOUSE - Brooklyn Bounce. After quite long lag we have their new single: "Contact". SIX mixes brought a different flavor to each of them. Both Contact Single and Original Club Mix are pounding TECHNO with great strings and percussion instruments. Good track for more INDUSTRIAL oriented clubs. C.J. Stone's Pleasure Mix brings interesting synths and computerized vocals with absolutely gorgeous background instrumentation. Very High-tech oriented track. I decided to present you with two versions from this single that I mixed together: Vengaboys Remix with Marino Stephano Remix. Both are very intersting and dancable versions of this record. You probably do not need an introduction who Vengaboys are and indeed you can hear the characteristic sound of this group in their remix. Vengaboys mix is just full of great strings and gallopping rhythm. From slow beat to high beat track. Marino's interpretation is more concentrated on very well arranged and sounding synths. Limited vocals but instrumentation is gorgeous. Listen to it loud and flow with it! 1. Contact Single Mix - 3:20 2. Original Club Mix - 6:46 3. C.J. Stone's Pleasure Remix - 6:43 4. Vengaboys Remix - 6:23 5. Marino Stephano Remix - 6:48 6. djane Barb-wire Sue's "V.L.A. - It's Vega" Mission Loop - 7:27 |

| Review | I am really guilty and I know it. I should review this track much earlier since it was released back in May 1998. But you will agree that better late than never after you will listen to a sound sampler or know the track already. DJ Red 5 I am sure is not a stranger to you all fans of PROGRESSIVE sound. "Da Bass" is their newest single on one of currently best German label releasing this genre: HOUSE-NATION. This track is really DA BOMB! Progressing from slow intro to a full blown TECHNO TRANCE at it's best. Both versions: Radio Edit and Extended Version are quite similar. The drama is in there and you simply will not be able to resist to drawn in to it. The third mix is done by Stephan Heinemann and Thomas Kukula that call themselves: KLUBBIRDS. This is more BREAK-BEAT oriented version. Intersting but not that breath taking as two previous one. Sound sampler features both: Extended Version and Klubbirds Remix, so you can choose what you like! 1. Radio Edit - 3:53 2. Extended Version - 5:59 3. Klubbirds Remix - 5:12 |

| Index # | DST 055-70422.3 |
| Review | Another release from House Nation This time it is a new track by Sequential One "Inspiration Vibes". More monotonic compared with their previous releases featuring very limited computerized vocals. Yet interesting strings make this track a good choice for more GROOVE oriented clubs. You can dance to it nicely, but again there are mory dynamic releases from this group. In sound sampler I present you with two mixed by me versions: Inspiration Mix and Club 98 Mix. I do not really hear too much differences between both versions but they mix very well and definately will put you in trance mood. 1. Inspiration Vibes - Airplay Mix - 3:36 2. Inspiration Vibes - Inspiration Mix - 6:46 3. Inspiration Vibes - Club 98 Mix - 6:29 4. All 4 Me - Club Mix - 6:44 |

| Artist | Race feat. Who Is Dat Girl |
| Label | 1998 House Nation (Germany) |

| Review | I have to admit that this group is unknown to me but this track caught my attention. Several reasons for it. Simply an interesting voice and nicely done instrumentation that are bringing together good DREAM style with more PROGRESSIVE sound. You should appreciate beatiful synthesizers that swirl seductively around a soothing, sensual female vocals that seems to be calling from heaven. Quite powerful track I might say. |

| Review | The newest track by this group called "Sisters And Brothers"is yet to be reviewed. In this batch I present you with their previous release called "Flashback". 2 Fabiola is one of leading group of Dutch PROGRESSIVE sound consisting of two people: Pat Krimson and Zohra. The group already delivered great songs and is almost ready to released the new album that I will review when it is available and I will have my hands on it. "Flashback" is great dance PROGRESSIVE song with nicely crafted synths and well arranged keyboards. Diabolic voice of Zohra delivers mystic feel to this track. Ditto for dance clubs! 1. | Review | Another release that was waiting for me to review! DJ Visage released "Formula" originally back in 1997 and was his first single that become an instant and huge success not only in Europe but also all over the world including countries like Argentina in South America and Republic of South Africa. "Formula '98" is this year version of this track. Song is doing great not only in Germany, but also in many other countries. "Formula" combines the feeling of racing cars with amusing TECHNO strings and beat. There is actually video made to this song (and YES it has been posted on line in our Video Section thanks to Norbert Reichart that produced this track as well as is known from producing group like IMPERIO). This video entirely done using digitized computing editing features a car racing game. PROGRESSIVE synths are novel and twisted compared with other releases from this genre. Nicely done. In sound sampler I am presenting you with DJ Beam Remix. Enjoy!1. DJ Beam Video Mix - 3:49 2. Monte Carlo Radio Mix - 3:42 3. DJ Beam Video Remix - 7:28 4. Hockenheim Club Mix - 5:18 |

| Artist | DJ Bobo |
| Label | 1998 EAMS (Germany) |
| Style | Progressive Euro/Dance/Break-Beat |
| Index # | EAMS 2375-1 |
| Review | Few weeks ago I heard that exciting news that DJ Bobo released a single that actually is recorded in Eurodance genre. I know most of you who follow his recent achievements know that he parted from the style that made him popular as he is now. I am not sure what made him to record this song, maybe to satisfy all of us who felt betrayed by him leaving the genre. Is "Celebrate" an indication that he might be back? I am not sure of this, but definately it is something I hope for. The track itself is good however he had better one. I sampled two versions from this single: Extended Version and Planet Electric mix. The first one is recorded in SASH! style, in fact the beggining of the song is practically IDENTICAL to strings present in SASH! "Mysterious Times". This song resembles a bit of "Freedom" yet lacks the power that was characterstic for this song. As usually DJ Bobo couldn't resist the temptation to be in main stream of dance so his Planet Electric Mix has been done in ELECTRO BEAT style. Quite good and you have a sampler out of it. All together it is a very nice and exciting dance releases in light of what he recently done in this style, yet he still have to work harder to reach the quality of dance tracks he released before. For more info about this artist, please refer to my D.J. | Artist | Sushi |
| Label | 1998 Branded (England) |

| Index # | CDBRAND 11 |
| Review | For remaining reviews in this batch of reviews let me concentrate on English releases. Both tracks featured in this single are follow up of her gorgeous single released earlier this year "Japanese Boy" on Klone Records. The first track on this single: "Let It Swing" was originally recorded back in 1985 by Norwegian group BobbySocks and won Eurovision Dong Contest in May of 1985. Song was big in Europe at that time. Sushi brought it back from the forgotten song land and did a an exciting job on it. Nice update sound with pounding beats and great vocals make this release a sprakling Hi-NRG track. "Love In The First Degree" was Bananarama's 15th hit record and of their biggest along with "Venus". Sushi as well revamped this one. Nicely done galloping release thanks to John Springate's production that as always is joyous and take melodies to a wonderful new heights. "Bonus" instrumental track "Pyramid" was written by John himself. 1. Let It Swing - Radio Version 2. Let It Swing - Club Mix ![]() 3. Love In The First Degree ![]() 4. Pyramid |

| Review | The newest release from this icon of English Hi-NRG genre. If you had a chance to listen sound samplers from NRG Unlimited compilation from this label I have reviewed in ALBUM Reviews you should recognize the title. This single offers 5 mixes of the title song. My favorite mix is done by Pete Hammond (Pete Hammond Club Mix). What we have here is an amazing Hi-NRG song done using interesting PROGRESSIVE synths. Newton vocals is as usually strong and excititng. BONA Club Remix is twirling Hi-NRG track with driving beat. Will do great in hot and NRG/HOUSEY Floors. If you really prefer HOUSE style go for House Mix. Very invigorating and uplfiting POP-HOUSE track. Interesting combination of electronic keyboards and pianos in here. You also ought to check BONA Sera Mix. A contemporary Classic NRG beat at its best. There is also a bonus track: "Free To Love Again" originally from team of Stock Aitken Waterman. Nice done contemporary POP track to finish your hot night on dance floor. Terrific production by Pete Hammond assures the quality tha shouldn't be missed as well. 1. He Don't Love You (Like I Do) - Radio Version 2. He Don't Love You (Like I Do) - Pete Hammond Club Mix 3. He Don't Love You (Like I Do) - BONA Club Remix 4. | Artist | Atlanta |
| Label | 1998 Klone Records/Rumour Records (England) |
| Style | Dance/Techno House |
| Index # | CDKLONE 59 |
| Review | Another breathtaking release from Klone. This time Ian Anthony Stephens once again teamed up with unresistable Nicola Hawkins in this dance version of the song done by The Corrs. I am sure if you know Atlanta's super hit "Where Have All The Cowboys Gone" you also know what to expect. Indeed we are being treated with a fabulous dance track with sensuous DREAM flavor. This track builds up. From growing intro to fully blown dramatic dance beat. The synthesiszers swirl around with very seducing, sensual Nicola'a voice. A cutting edge dance release. Second song featured in this single is "Don't Stop (I Like It)" another great up tempo dance song recorded in in NRG style. If you liked another Klone release: "Kiss The Rain" by Princess Paragon you will be right at home. This one gives you anything you want from NRG classic track. Great beat, fast tempo, great vocals. Hard to resist. In sound sampler I mixed bot titles so you might have better feeling for it. This one is already high on DJ Charts in UK and should make the same here in the US.1. What Can I Do - Radio Version 2. What Can I Do - Club Mix 3. Don't Stop (I Like it) |

| Review | If you know boyzgroup BOYZONE the title should be familiar to you. The group reached number 1 with this song. The song is taken from a new musical "Whistle Down The Wind" by one and only Andrew Lloyd Weber ("Evita", "Phantom Of The Opera", "Cats", etc) and Jim Steinman (worked with Meatloaf on "Bat Out Of Hell" and with Bonnie Tyler on her "Total Eclipse Of The Heart". "No Matter What" has now been recorded in dance genre by the group previously known as Blonde Ambition. It is very up-tempo track with great vocals. Truly a POP/dance release ready to be played in your clubs. Two versions of the track are featured in this single. As a bonus you have "Play The Game", a club track recorded in TECHNO-HOUSE style. Great one for clubs as well. Very DJ friendly and uplifting for crowd. For sound sampler I mixed both tracks. Definately next solid release from this label to enjoy! 1. No Matter What - Saints Radio Mix 2. No Matter What - Saints Klub Mix 3. Play The Game |

| Review | I am sure most of you do not remember a female group called SILVER CONVENTION back in middle of 70's. Two of their songs: "Fly Robin Fly " (1975) and "Get Up And Boogie " (1976) are now considered disco classics. V-AGRA, the group that took the name from popular drug enhancing sexual activities of guys after 50's used the disco-funky sound of "Get Up And Boogie" in this DISCO-HOUSE track. This single is great for any dance floor playing HOUSE and NRG sound. Very rhythmic and full of life. CD single has 3 versions. Radio Version is typical HI-NRG updated to 90's track with female vocals close resembling the original SILVER CONVENTION. Tooled Up Mix introduced more FUNKY sound to NRG line with very well crafted bassline. Another DITTO for clubs. The last version: Prince Albert Mix lasting more than 6 minutes has SPACEY sound with great synths and percussions giving more TECHNO flavor to the single. Very good mix, will drive dance floor crazy. One thing! Why is this mix called Prince Albert? Does he really need "it"? For sound sampler I have chosen Tooled Up Mix. Grab the single if you will get a chance!1. Radio Version 2. Tooled Up Mix 3. Prince Albert Mix |

| Review | Rarity for NRG playing DJ's. Another very good release from this English label. Another classic revived to 90's sound. Resident producer: John Springate gave this classic track a new light. Female vocals of Jamie Watson is as usually powerful and joyful. Galloping beat, great bassline make this track hard to resist. Simply a powerhouse production that make this single a must for any DJ serious about NRG style. Too bad that only two mixes of this song are present on this single. To wipe your tears off, there is a third track called: "Another Time, Another Place" co-written (with Watson) and produced by John Springate himself. That little wonder is NRG track with touch od DREAM and PROGRESSIVE/TECHNO. Nice male vocals. Another ditto for club scene! For sound sampler I have chosen Club version of title track Enjoy! 1. Take Me I'm Yours - Radio Version 2. Take Me I'm Yours - Club Mix 3. Another Time, Another Place |

| Review | Another release from this hard to beat label. This single features DIVA of dance sound Amy Gordon. Her exquisiste vocal abilities warrant great dance track. Two versions of the title track are featured. Both are powerful Pop-NRG with pumped up synths for rousing ride. HI-NRG with screaming bassline, percussions and keyboard arrangements, surely will drive your clubs crazy! Dazzling production, Mr. John Springate again shows his talent!. He is also responsible for the third track on this single: "Don't Make Me Wait All Night", happy Pop-NRG song with an interesting twist. For sound sampler I have chosen fragment of the first mix from the single. You might like nice TECHNO-HOUSE touch in this version! This single is another example that England is a leading European country along with Italy still producing great NRG releases. And label itselt stands out from the crowd!1. | Review | This beatiful track is Portugese version of slow "Indian Summer" written back in 70's by Ward, Pallavicina, Losito and Cotugno recorded at that time by many different artists including unforgettable interpretation by French artist Joe Dassin. This 1998 version has been fully revamped to nowadays sound. 4 versions to choose from depending on moon you are in. Radio version is energetic TECHNO REGGAE interpretation with full-blown NRG touch. L'Eté Brésilien Mix is recorded as mix of R&B and POP style with Portugal lyrics written by Diana herself. Good afterhour track. The real HOT and galloping rhythms that will warm you to fever, starts with Amazon Mix. Hot and sunny REGGAE-TRIBAL sound makes you dance on the spot. If I should vote for Summer Hit of 1998 it wouldn't be "Bailando" by Loona or "Bamboleo" by Garcia as they have been widely promoted, but "Amazonia" and this particular mix! The last version of on this single (Natureze Mix) will place in heaven all fans of TECHNO enjoying REGGAE as well . This mixed style marvel with lotsa great hooks and hot vocals will kick many asses. The synths follow easily into PROGRESSIVE HOUSE. Amazing production and arrangements. Will blow your brain out! The fragment of this version is featured in the sound sampler1. Radio Version - 3:18 2. | Review | Yet another release from this SYNTH-POP group lead by Alex Christensen. I have to admit the recent releases from this group are pretty "weird" in my opinion. Following "Energie" also this new single has been recorded in more INDUSTRIAL TECHNO style falling into category of BREAK BEAT, similar to one Music Instructor is presently known from. Not only that, the 7" Deutsch and English versions also feature R&B oriented vocal. Shhesh! Strange combination. You will also be encountering drops in BPM from fast upbeat TECHNO to low tempo R&B. Well... I hope you have healthy heart. I am not sure how well it can be played in clubs but definately it will be a challenge for both DJs and crowd. The one sad comment is that more and more European culture is loosing it's own identity by being heavily influenced by American subculture and not being reciprocated equally. Additional song featured in the single: "Don't Wanna Lose You" is a smooth galloping PROGRESSIVE-HOUSE track. I am sorta obliged to present you in sound sampler, the title song from the single, but I would be more happy if "Don't Wanna Lose You" could take it's place. There are better tracks around from this genre, but so far I liked this one the most from this single. I took the liberty of presenting you in sound sampler: 12" Version (without R&B touch in sound sampler) followed by fragment taken from the last song on the single. Enjoy! | Review | Second single from DJ Bobo's album "Magic" promoting also his current (when writing this review) tour going on in Europe. This track was written and produced by D.J. Bobo in co-operation with Axel Breitung. This single is main stream of dance represented by artists (group) like Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, Caught In The Act. 6 versions are featured in this single and NONE of them getting close to eurodance genre. Seems I can safely announce that DJ Bobo as a King of dance (at least in Eurodance genre) is dead. All of you who like the POP and boyzgroups will like this single, but all of you who wanted to hear his sound from time when he was doing great eurodance genre, may forget about this single. I reviewed it because I have D.J. Bobo website and thought such review should be posted. Well... I really hope that maybe, somehow in the future D.J. Bobo will return to the genre that made him who he is now. I know it is just a wish.

Dr. Alban has been releasing great Eurodance music in the past, however this single is far from Eurodance. Two songs in different mixes are featured in this single. "Enemies" is a happy Reggae track. Different mixes keeps the style intact giving you some variety. Smooth Beat Mix has some DREAM touch with piano section in the background. Extended Additional is more into POP side while Remix Version id down temp HOUSE/R&B-like track. "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner" has only two versions. Radio Edit is done in Euroreggae style while C&N Project Mix is fast TECHNO oriented REGGAE track with distinctive PROGRESSIVE sound. I have decided to feature this particular track in the sound sampler from this single. 1. Enemies - Radio Edit - 3:47 2. Guess Who's Coming To Dinner - Radio Edit - 3:43 3. Enemies - Smooth Beat Mix - 3:39 4. Enemies - Extended Additional - 6:39 5. Enemies - Remix - 4:56 6. Guess Who's Coming To Dinner - C&N Project Mix - 4:55 |

| Review | New single from one of the most notable eurodance group: Masterboy. When you thought that group is no longer intact, this single proves that the group must be still around. This single represents a real twist in music direction Masterboy takes or don't they? First of all, DO NOT expect sound your remember the group from. "Dancing Forever" represents a direction called DISCO HOUSE. Something like having Donna Summer doing HOUSE. Got the picture? Another issue, there is not a male vocal (or rap) usually characteristic for Masterboy no metter if you liked it or not, this "touch" I missed. Entire song is lead by Linda Rocco. The last thing is the fact that "Dancing Forever" had different team of writers. This track was written by Willi Morrison and Bruce Ley. It probably explains a bit why the music is different. Enjoy the sampler! You might find it surprising!

| Review | As usually DJ Hooligan who is behind Da Hool brings us a good TECHNO. Pounding, dark TECHNO scorcher that combines mournful elements of TRANCE into a wild, driving dance track. Limited female and male vocals (with sexually explicit lyrics) with BREAK BEAT synths in some versions. Synths are well arranged and soaring. Already huge in European TECHNO clubs and breaking in U.S. For stricly HOUSE scene New Club Mix or Weiber Mix would be a choice. 1. Male Radio Edit - 3:52 2. Female Radio Edit - 3:52 3. | Review | Mike Michaels, MM Dollar and Mark Tabak calling themselves Triple-M Crew are kicking in this follow up to "Super Sonic" single. When I am writing this review new album Electro City by Music Instructor is already out (released in first days of August 1998). As you might already know Music Instructor is presently revitilizing quite popular in the end of 80's BREAK DANCE updated to more TECHNO sound (some people call this genre BREAK BEAT). This single is no different from "Super Sonic" as come to style. I choose for sound sampler 2 other versions that are more TECHNO-HOUSE. Expect rumbling, rousing tracks. Pulsing synths, intricate, mesmerizing rhythm and computerized vocals are combined together. Also the LIVE effect in FM Stroemer House Classic Remix adds special touch. This single is presently one of the coolest electronic housers around. Will do great in all house oriented danceland clubs.

| Review | Second single taken from thier highly acclaimed "Back For Good" album. As much as I like Modern Talking I am quite dissapointed with their "remixes" of original songs. This single is not an exception. The only real "remix" or "new" thing is the rapping done by Eric Singleton and slightly changed synths (after all it has been progress in developing these instruments). Looks to me like nowadays the group think that adding RAP is making the song mainstream. Partially right, but in fact PROGRESSIVE touch would do better (as it is case for Bad Boys Blue album). While I do like the RAP I am lacking something more "new". Well... If Modern Talking just want to refresh our memory of their old songs, that is OK, but I really hope to hear something new and refreshing. I do not necessary mean switch styles but I believe brand new songs are due. You also will find another "remaked" version of "Cheri Cheri Lady". The difference between album version and the version on the single is the length of the track. The single features "extended" mix. Why in parentheses? Because it lasts 4 minutes and 26 seconds. Why on earth you calling such a short track extended? Beats me! For now, listen to the sound sampler of "updated" "Brother Louie"1. Brother Louie Mix '98 (feat. Eric Singleton) - Radio Version - 3:23 2. Brother Louie Mix '98 - New Version - 3:35 3. Brother Louie Mix '98 (feat. Eric Singleton) - Extended Version - 4:11 4. Cheri Cheri Lady (feat. | Review | Another new Fancy single? Not really! This time we have mega mix of his hits done by one and only S.W.G. Team that brought us official bootlegs like "Chartmix 1, 2" released on Polystar Records. This release does not really need recommendation. If you know the original tracks, they have not been changed however shortened a bit and very well mixed. RAPPING vocal that introduces Fancy was added for additional effect. If you are collecting Fancy's releases, you should get it. For sound sampler I used almost entire Single Mix. Should be enough to get an idea how mixes are done and appreciate the mix done by this incredible duo from S.W.G. Team

| Review | Fancy is simply kicking!. About a month ago I reviewed revamped 1998 edition of his 1988 megahit "Flames Of Love". I know that many of you were not necessary impressed with that release, mainly because there was not that many changes done to original version. Well... This is definatelyNOT a case with presented here REMIXES of this track. First of all, for this release are responsible currently the BEST producers of Euroenergy genre in Germany: David Brandes, Felix J.Gauder and John O'Flynn. I am sure if you know groups like E-rotic, Missing Heart, Pixie these name are very familiar. Indeed, the job done on this single is simply marvellous. You not only have completely re-arranged tracks but also longer, extended versions. This is an additional benefit, since singles released by Fancy usually are "short lasting". So what we do have here? MC's Mixes feature RAP done by G-Zero. While I am not really into RAP in Fancy releases, I have to admit that rapper's voice did well and is not annoying, actually it is very interesting. The track is done in HI-NRG genre enpowerd with nice PROGRESSIVE synths. Vox Versions feature intro done also by G-Zero, however the RAP is virtually absent. Very close to original sound, yet with great synth arrangement and electronic "hall effect" all over. Great versions. The last track on this single is Club Mix. This one is DA BOMB! While virtually vocal-less, has wicked, spectacular Progressive ala SASH! sound surely will drive you out of galaxy! This will storm clubs like a thunder! For sound sampler I mixed fragments of MC's Extended Mix and Club Mix.

| Review | Let's start the batch of present reviews from UK releases. Do you remember Jermaine Stewart? If so, this title should be familiar to you. This track at its original form released on PWL reached numer 2 in 1986 and now has been remodelled by Soozy Q. "We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off" was officially release on July 13th, 1998 however was circulating as PROMO for last several weeks and was very well received in English Dance clubs. The single features four tracks, three of them are different mixes of the title song. All of them well done! Powerful Good Time Club Mix has been driven by the keyboard and nice synths arrangement. Both versions will do great in HOUSE oriented dance floor. For all of you who would like to have more ENERGY flavor I would recommend NRG Mix with great beat and riveting rhythm. I have chosen for audio sound sampler this particular mix since it is my favorite on this single. Additional track "Fallen Angel" is a gorgeous downtempo track done in a POP style. 1. | Review | Another brilliant release from this U.K. label. This time remake of original track by Savage Garden. "Truly Madly Deeply" is being officially released on July 20th, 1998 and is produced by Jonathan Edwards and Gary Martins. both no strangers to the club charts. As part of "Casino" they scored a huge club hit with "Have You Seen That Girl". This new track they produced has been released in three versions. Radio Version does not need a comment, nice HOUSE/NRG track that can be easily played on the Radio. The marvel starts with Savage Mix, where the pounding synths dominate all over and are topped with incredible keyboard arrangement. very melodic and uplifting track. This is the version I picked for the sound sampler. If you are into more DEEP HOUSE Ded Cred Dippy Doo Mix will do. Raging, synth-driver stormer with spooky vocals. Nice! For more ACID sound combined with some techno hooks look for the "bonus" track: "The Yard Theme"1. Radio Version 2. Savage Mix 3. Ded Cred Dippy Doo Mix 4. The Yard Theme |

| Review | Almighty Records keep bringing great releases and "You're Still The One" by Rochelle proves the company solid place for top dance releases. As all the above reviewed releases, this track is also a cover. This time we have an excellent and powerful dance cover of Shania Twain's song. Originally in ballad style has been totally restructured to bring pure, magnificent ENERGY track that should do extremely well on dance floor in any club. Both 7" and 12" Fired Up Mixes were done in pounding ENERGY influenced by HOUSE and are extremely dancable. Definitive Mix is more into darker HOUSE with distinct PROGRESSIVE elements and still with great ENERGY pounding bassline! I have chosen this version for sound sampler! As a bonus track we have "Night Life", a very nice finish up of the single. Practically instrumental and fully electronic track has a nice twist with computer generated male/female choir. Nice synths straight from YAMAHA keyboard sound a bit artificial, but it shouldn't bother you. All together nice release for all of you haunting for some ENERGY releases1. 7" Fired Up Mix 2. 12" Fired Up Mix 3. Definitive Mix 4. Night Life |

| Review | I always been fan of this group. So, I was extremely happy to see that this group is following Modern Talking step and is re-releasing their classic tracks. I only hope that they will really COME BACK to dance scene and will release some new things. Speaking of Modern Talking as you probably remember they featured on their '98 mix of "You're My Heart, You're My Soul" Eric Singleton. Looks like Bad Boys Blue have chosen same pattern and Eric Singleton is also featured in their single. He does not only provide RAP but also is responsible for Rap lyrics. The "updated" version of "You're A Woman" does not really differ from the original release, the really NEW element is just that RAP, there is also a change in bassline. If you never had an orginal release or have hard time to get Bad Boys Blue releases, you should get this single!. The additional bonus, is very well done Megamix volume 1 that lasts 8:17. This single is worth even for this particular megamix. Get it!

| Review | Fancy is joining the club of Modern Talking and Bad Boys Blue with his marvellous track back from 1988. "Flames Of Love" was his one of the best tracks ever released and now it has been revamped to 1998. This "revamping" is actually quite superficial. The only version that differs from the original one is Bass Up Version, yetyou really have to listen the original and this one to hear the difference. Unfrtunately, the space on this CD was wasted by using Rap Version (feat. Grandmaster Tess & Steve D. that in my opinion is a horror. I hated his VI album "Deep In My Heart" that featured most of his his re-done in RAP style, so no wonder I am not fan of this particular version either. Why remixes hve to have RAP? It goes not only to Fancy but also to Bad Boys Blue. I would gladly see more updated sound of "Flames Of Love" and much longer versions. Why on earth on single all three versions last below 4 minutes!? I am cure most of you would appreciate extended one. Oh well... There is a bonus almost fully instrumental track called "Flic Flac" done in PROGRESSIVE site. Another attempt to be on mainstream? Hope not! In spite of some negatives this CD has to be in the collection of all DIE HARD fans of Fancy.

| Review | SASH! is still giving us great tracks and seems to have unlimited abilities to do so. This new release seems to be one of his best. Those synths are just sizzling even in Radio Mix. For this release SASH asked Tina Cousins to give her voice and choice was excellent. Her powerful vocal adds special feeling to this great release. 6 different versions to choose from, two of them done by Todd Terry which you might well known from various remixes he is doing for many artists. In his "versions" synths got vibrating effects making them closer to current BREAK BEAT style. Also his versions are more HOUSEish than PROGRESSIVE, yet they are quite good. I would add a bit more energy to them but as they are now fits pretty well for club scene. I personally chosen Cyrus & The Joker Meets Bossi Mix since it has that hot, pulsating PROGRESSIVE sound. Simple spectacular version that easily can make this track a massive chart topper. As this track progress the feelings changes from more light to darker site and explodes at the end. Turbo charged thriller! The vocals in this version is rather pushed to background and synths from heaven take over entire track. Absolutely gorgeous. The influence of Bossi is unmistakable.1. | Review | Better late than never to review the track. I was late for several reason, but the major one was that I was quite puzzled by this one. Seems to me that U 96 shifted a bit and decided to follow this BREAK BEAT trend that is spreading like epidemy! If you like this new BEAT you probably will enjoy the track. Lotsa BREAKS and twisted synths topped with computerized vocal ala Kraftwerk. This track does pretty good on dance scene as featured in virtually every TECHNO compilation released in Germany these days. The "bonus" track featured on this CD is a PROGRESSIVE instrumental "In Your Mind". Quite nice synths more U-96-ish than the title song. Quite refreshing if you have mixed feeling for "Energie". To give you a taste I decided to sample both tracks in sound sampler. Enjoy!

| Style | Euro-Pop |

| Review | There was a high expectation from this single as well as new album. At least two factors were determining it. First D.J. Bobo partnered himself with one of most distinguished writers and producers of eurodance genre Axel Breitung. Such combination had to bring a gem recording. Secondly we didn't hear any new single from him for almost 2 years (not to mention "Shadows of the Night" released in 1997 but originally appeared in 1996 album "World In Motion"). So how is the track? Unfortunately, if you expected new dynamic EURO-NRG/EURODANCE track, you don't have it, but if you wanted to have a quality EURO-POP you are in business. Single has 6 mixes and two of them are mixed by LOVE TO INFINITY and one by CENTRAL SEVEN. These remixes bring this song to main stream of dance genre. LOVE TO INFINITY brought to this track spectacular piano section with interesting twist, while CENTRAL SEVEN delivered distinct, bold EUROPROGRESSIVE synths and beats with power! Interstingly, DJ Bobo actually SINGS in this song not only rapping, his usual role in songs he performed. He is accompanied with interesting vocals by Teresa Kaestel. I will review the album separately in ALBUMS Reviews section. For the sound sampler I used 4 mixes!!! (Yes! I had to do it to show you genre variability among the mixes). They are in order of appearance: Radio Version, Love To Infinity's Classic Paradise Mix, Central Seven Remix and Planet Club Mix.

| Review | I know, I know, I am late. No excuses, but I really had to do this review. MODERN TALKING was and always be one of my favorite groups. So when Dieter Bohlen pared back together with Thomas Anders after more than a decade I was really thrilled. Most of you know already that the group released the album called "Back For Good" and the presented song "You're My Heart, You're My Soul" was the first to be released on a single. All of you who followed the MODERN TALKING back from early 80's know this song already. Single has 5 versions of them and two are original back from 1984. 14 years later they delivered us with 3 new, updated releases. And all of them are good. Having this single you can compare how it sounded 14 years ago and how it sounds now, and YEAH! the music is HOT and likable. As the original, also 1998 remixes delivers quality HI-NRG/EURODANCE sound. Album itself was sold in 500,000 copies within first week and was placed as number one selling CD. What does that mean? I hope it means that finally more and more eurodance tracks will show up after tiring EUROPROGRESSIVE soundnot to mention HOUSE or R&B. It has beedn a fashion these days to return to old tracks and remake them. While I like the trend. I hope deep in my heart that brand new eurodance tracks wil lbe released. If other groups or artists were not able to break the stonewall I hope Modern Talking was able to do it. So let's hope for more! For sound sampler I have chosen Modern Talking Mix '98 feat Eric Singleton, since this one brings updated EuroNRG sound with RAP elemets so popular in this genre nowadays and second Classic Mix '98 since it has that Original 1984 sound with touch of DREAM genre. | Review | American Diva of NRG style is back, storming Billboard and dance floor all over the US with her new releases. This E.P. features 9 previously unreleased tracks and they are good! Endless remixes of "Dream Lover" can satisfy almost everyone, because each of them gives a different style of dance. Are you looking for pure Eurodance/EuroNRG? Get Radio Mix! Wanna get hot Club track that gave Eurodance HARD HOUSE feel? Extended Club Mix is for you! Amazing, powerful version! Wanna some DREAM synths topped with FREESTYLE touch? The Dream Velvet Mix will do it! Are you into PROGRESSIVE? Yeah! Check the Galaxy Love Mix! Not exactly Europrogressive but contains both amazing synths, some TRIBAL flavor and HOUSE beat. Another DITTO for club scene. The true eurodance gem is Marina's own remake of "Foolish Games". When I heard this track in it's Radio Mix version for the first time I was stunned! It gave me goose bumps. It's not just simple remake of this classic track but very impressive NRG production combining amazingly arranged synths and powerful Marina's voice. By far the BEST eurorelease in USA and I dare to say one of the best recent NRG releases in the world. I only hope that this track could be even further remixed, it has endless potentials! "Um-Lotty-Da" is the third song on this E.P. with two remixes. This one was written and composed by MARINA herself along with T.Marinello. Expect fast, and I mean FAST (142 BMP) Hi-Energy track! A Powerful one, highly charged song. Similar to previous track this one has superbly arranged synths! Taken together Marina emerges to American dance scene as unbeatable candidate for NRG queen crown of American dance floor. She is not only a great singer but also talented writer and producer! YES! She produced all the tracks on this CD. If you decide to buy only ONE American dance CD! no doubts it will "The Dream Lover EP". Every American DJ serious about dance HAS TO HAVE IT! I will be looking forward to next exciting releases by Marina.I was not allowed to make my own samplers, so I am presenting you with one Real Audio file that features three mentioned songs directly from MRK Records Real Audio server. | Review | And who was saying that nowadays great dance tracks are coming from Germany and Italy only? We should not forget England scene. They are not only bastion of HOUSE and UNDERGROUND sound but do in fact release some great eurodance/progressive tracks. One of the labels that do it so often is Rumor Records Company. Here is a new CD from Princess Paragon filled with unbelievable dance music. Two tracks on this CD "Kiss The Rain" and "I Feel So Good". The first one just just what you all were waititing for. Galloping NRG track heavily influenced by trendy PROGRESSIVE sound ready to knock your socks off! This one will explode on you! Princess Paragon already proved to be a dance diva. This track further justifies that title. Right from the beggining this track is exploding with euphoric synths that later brings Paragon's vocals matching the feel of the track graciously. I am just sad that there are only 2 versions. C'mon guys! There could be more mixes!!!. Even worse, ther second song on this CD "I Feel So Good" has only one version and trust me it deserves more!!! The lyrics are not complicated in this one, but synths! Oh my! This one is a guaranteed filler for any dance floor! Simply a turbo-charged blaster! Get this one! You will never be sorry!!!1.
